RETRACE ENTERPRISES TRENCH ROARER BEATS

SPECTACLE

You have a mission. But first, you have a lot to learn.

CHAPTER 02

THE PREMISE

MUSIC AS A SPIRITUAL WEAPON

SPECTACLE is a narrative music-world adventure. You enter the music world on a mission that will ultimately require you to use MUSIC AS A SPIRITUAL WEAPON.

You do not begin with mastery of this ability. First you must navigate the music world and its inhabitants, complete quests, experience situations, build relationships, learn, fail, develop musically and personally, and gradually understand the deeper power contained within sound.

POWER IS A CONSEQUENCE OF THE JOURNEY
01 ENTER Arrive in the living music territory
02 NAVIGATE Explore unfamiliar streets & studios
03 ENCOUNTER Meet people with tasked existences
04 QUEST Engage real situations with real stakes
05 LEARN Absorb technique, culture & resilience
06 GROW Musical, human & spiritual evolution
07 CREATE Translate experience into sound
08 WIELD Direct resonance as spiritual force
"This is not a conventional fantasy game with 'music spells'. Music gains significance through experience, intent, understanding, relationships, technique and personal growth."
The spiritual weapon concept remains mysterious. It is not an arbitrary mechanic granted at level one; it is the culmination of everything you endure, create, and understand in a world driven by pressure and authentic sound.

THE PLAYER

THE TRENCH ROARER — SOUND PROGRESSION

The player character is defined by a dark silhouette, black Trench Roarer clothing, iconic roaring-cat back artwork, monitoring headphones, and industrial music-production equipment. Track the 3 canonical phases of transformation.

CANONICAL STAGE VIEWPORT Trench Roarer Phase 1 — HEAR: Perceiving electrical sound phenomenon Trench Roarer Phase 2 — CREATE: Manipulating equipment and sound Trench Roarer Phase 3 — WIELD: Operating mixing console with violent musical electrical resonance

CHAPTER 05

TASKED EXISTENCE

NPCs ARE NOT DECORATIVE PEOPLE PLACED INTO SCENES

Every important inhabitant of SPECTACLE existed before you arrived and will continue existing after you leave. They work, create, travel, perform, wait, observe, rest, and pursue their own goals. You enter their world.

RISC wearing hood, sunglasses, neck warmer, smoking hookah with Starfield chest deck
TASK: GUIDE

RISC

TECH ADVISOR & PHILOSOPHER

Provides wisdom and deep thought alongside cutting-edge technical advice. Derived from an authentic physical seed, RISC anchors the player's philosophical comprehension of sound.

Thunderfoot wearing biomechanical dragon headdress, painted face, TRB shirt
TASK: MOTIVATE

THUNDERFOOT

PERFORMANCE CATALYST

Influences the player to become a strong, confident performer with genuine rockstar attitude. Channels dragon biomechanics and raw stage command.

The Rider standing with TRB scooter in neon rain-soaked city
TASK: MOVE

THE RIDER

URBAN COURIER / CIVILIAN

A woman with a TRB scooter traversing the rain-soaked city streets. She represents ordinary civilian existence surviving inside an extraordinary, high-pressure world.

TASK: WAIT / OBSERVE / ENDURE

THE OBSERVER (DOC)

Johnny Rock intensely playing Fender electric guitar on stage
TASK: PERFORM

THE MUSICIAN (JOHNNY ROCK)

FROM REALITY TO SPECTACLE

THE PHYSICAL PUPPET DEVELOPMENT METHOD

Characters in SPECTACLE do not begin in a generic 3D asset generator. They begin as actual physical constructions—puppets and sculptures whose tangible quirks survive into the digital canon.
